The Responsiveness Party

Platform 2026

A governing vision for Saskatchewan.

A stable home is the floor a stable life stands on. So across this platform, whether the subject is the economy, immigration, or social services, we build the foundation first and grow from there. Listen, respond, fix problems at the root, and make sure the wealth of this province finally reaches the people who live in it.

The line that must never blur

Our work rests on the Four Category Model. The situational, those in an addiction or mental health crisis, and the chronically entrenched are our neighbours in crisis. They are owed compassion, dignity, and real help. A fourth group, predators who exploit the vulnerable, is something else entirely, defined strictly by what they do and never by who they are, never by race, background, or identity. The first three we help. The fourth we police. Confusing the two fails everyone.

01

Responsive Government

Democracy in real time. A government that listens continuously and responds on a clock.

  • A Citizen Response Guarantee: every petition answered publicly, on a deadline, in a searchable ledger
  • Binding citizen referendums, and real recall between elections
  • Permanent citizens assemblies and participatory budgeting
  • The Coherence Layer: a transparent, AI assisted pipeline that turns public input into live policy
  • We use AI in the open, and we invite every citizen to use it too
  • Electoral reform so seats match votes, and total transparency by default
02

Housing and Homelessness

Our flagship. Not one problem but four, each with its own response, and a foundation under everyone.

  • Sort the problem honestly with the Four Category Model
  • A fast bridge for the situational, before a fall becomes permanent
  • Real care for addiction and mental health: stabilize first, then house
  • Structure and belonging for the chronically entrenched, through Structured Recovery and Stabilization
  • An integrated facility, direct social assistance payments, and 48 to 72 hour rapid response
  • Full funding transparency, and building far more homes people can afford
03

A Resilient Economy

Wealth that reaches everyone, and an economy that does not swing with global prices.

  • A Saskatchewan Future Fund that turns resource booms into permanent public wealth
  • Process what we pull, keeping the jobs and the wealth at home
  • Use resource strength to fund the next economy
  • Government as a smart enabler, not a heavy hand and not absent
  • The Prosperity Test: does it make ordinary life more stable, or just move a number?
04

A Fair, Disciplined, Transparent Budget

Relief for the people getting squeezed, discipline with every dollar, honesty about all of it.

  • Targeted relief for lower and middle income families and small business
  • Cut waste, not services, and prove it with a public budget portal
  • Fiscal discipline anchored by the Future Fund
  • A fair public return on the resources we all own
  • Carbon costs: transparency, not theatre, and cutting emissions by building, not taxing
05

Clean Energy and Resource Superpower

Develop everything, and lead the world in doing it cleanly.

  • Full support for oil, gas, potash, uranium, and mining
  • The nuclear province: own the whole chain, from uranium to reactors
  • Renewables where they pencil out, and world leadership in carbon capture
  • An affordable, reliable grid, always paced for your bill and the winter
  • A coal transition with dignity, bringing new jobs to the towns that powered us
06

Agriculture

Farmers and ranchers are the backbone of this province, and its original stewards of the land.

  • Value added processing of our grain, crops, and livestock at home
  • Protect the family and small farms that anchor rural communities
  • Back agricultural technology, water security, and rural infrastructure
  • Fight for fair market access, and steward the land with producers, not against them
07

Cost of Living

A province can post strong numbers while families quietly fall behind. We measure the kitchen table.

  • Keep power and utility bills down
  • Real, accessible childcare
  • Relief on the everyday essentials that hit hardest
  • Fair tax relief, all anchored to housing, the largest cost most families carry
08

Healthcare

Fix the access crisis with relentless pragmatism, measured by outcomes, not announcements.

  • Aggressively recruit and retain doctors, nurses, and health workers
  • Train more of our own, locally, and keep them here
  • A rural access standard so no community quietly loses its ER
  • Attack wait times, invest upstream in prevention, and publish honest performance data
09

Mental Health and Addictions

Treated as the health emergency it is, and fully connected to our housing work.

  • Immediate access detox and treatment, with the waitlist treated as the crisis it is
  • Crisis response teams, so distress meets a clinician, not only a police officer
  • Recovery oriented housing, and one connected system from street to stability
10

Education, K to 12

Back the people in the classroom, focus on what works for kids, and stay out of the culture war.

  • Support frontline teachers and educational assistants
  • Tackle class size and rising classroom complexity head on
  • Strong fundamentals alongside real life and financial skills
  • Fair, stable funding, genuine parental partnership, and protected rural schools
11

Post Secondary and Trades

Build the workforce the new Saskatchewan economy actually needs, and keep that talent home.

  • A major expansion of trades and apprenticeship training
  • Align programs with the jobs we are creating, in nuclear, ag tech, processing, and healthcare
  • Keep tuition and training within reach, and keep our graduates in Saskatchewan
12

Social Services and Poverty

A real floor under every person, delivered with dignity, not suspicion.

  • Income support that is actually enough to live on
  • Direct to individual payments that cut needless gatekeeping
  • Poverty reduction as prevention, and wraparound support for those who need it
13

Justice and Community Safety

Firm with predators, smart about root causes, never theatre.

  • Visible community policing, and a real rural crime strategy with faster response
  • Hard, targeted enforcement on organized and predatory crime
  • Mental health crisis teams so police are not the default for everything
  • Strong victim support, and rehabilitation that breaks the cycle
14

Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation

Genuine partnership and practical action, not tokenism and not division.

  • Real consultation and co development, decisions made with communities, not for them
  • Meaningful economic participation, including ownership stakes in projects
  • Close the gaps in housing, clean water, health, and education
  • Address root causes, and back Indigenous led solutions
15

Immigration

Saskatchewan grows through newcomers, but growth only works when it is matched to capacity.

  • Capacity matched intake, so newcomers are set up to succeed, not to struggle
  • Fast credential recognition, so trained doctors and tradespeople can work in their field
  • Real settlement investment, and more provincial control over our own numbers
16

Infrastructure, Seniors and Families

Invest in the foundations of everyday life, and look after people at both ends of it.

  • Rural broadband so no community is left offline
  • Maintained roads and safe, reliable water systems
  • Support seniors to age in place with dignity
  • Real backing for families, through childcare and cost relief

A province for everyone.

That is what responsiveness means. If it speaks to you, add your voice.
